Our Story


Epic Experience empowers adult cancer thrivers and survivors to live beyond cancer. 

OUR CORE VALUES

ADVENTURE: Introduce adult cancer survivors to outdoor adventure activities that will serve to encourage them to live life to its full potential. Fear or depression should no longer define them. By crossing boundaries, we hope to inspire a happier, healthier, and more purposeful life.

COMMUNITY: Provide a sense of community so that after the experience has ended, the campers will know that they will have a larger support system. Campers will have created relationships with other participants and staff. Additionally, the caregivers of cancer survivors will have a larger support system, as well.

HOPE: Commit to instilling hope beyond cancer. Participants will be able to share stories with other campers and will, in turn, have more hope for themselves.

GROWTH: Provide the necessary tools for survivors to encourage and empower other survivors’ lives. Become the spark that starts the fire in a survivor’s life.

WELLNESS: Promote wellness in mind, body, and spirit. Promote physical and emotional well being, as well as a sense of balance, for individuals who have been affected by cancer.

STORY: Teach participants that life exists outside of cancer. The battle is only a part of their larger story of life. Encourage survivors and their caregivers to write their own stories.

SURVIVORSHIP: Empower the story of survivorship. Encourage cancer survivors and their caregivers that they can live beyond the medical condition.

PARTNERSHIP: Partner with other organizations across the U.S. to promote Epic Experience and create relationships with key players in the medical and volunteer fields.

Epic Experience is adventure therapy at it's best! My week at camp helped me imagine a life beyond the emotional weight and anxiety of cancer. It was a healing experience.

Love Epic Experience - a truly necessary, life perspective changing camp and group of people. If you or someone you know is an adult who has experienced cancer, you should reach out and apply. And PLEASE, consider donating to Epic Experience - it is a non-profit fully funded by grants and donations. Without financial support this would not be available for any of us. FAQ's

When will my items ship? Items typically ship within 2-4 weeks after the campaign end date. While we do our best to only feature items with reliable inventory, the delivery timeline may extend if your items encounter backorder issues. We'll let you know as soon as possible if this occurs, in which case you'll have the option to switch your item with another similar one, or wait for replenished inventory. Also, please note that IgniteCX's liability of the product is complete upon delivery, as confirmed by the shipping company. When will my credit card be charged? If you are making a donation, your credit card will be charged immediately after you place your order. If you are purchasing items, your credit card will be processed within 2 business days after the end of the campaign, rather than at the time of the original order. If, for some reason, this campaign does not reach its batch order minimum requirements, your item order may be cancelled. If you purchased items and made an additional donation, your total contributions will appear on your credit card statement as two separate transactions. How will this charge read on my credit card? Look for the descriptor text on your credit card statement for purchases and donations made through this website to appear similar to this example: BT [CAMPAIGN NAME#####].

Some credit card issuers may display a status of “recurring” on your statement. This does NOT mean that you will be charged multiple times for your donation or purchase. It is simply an indicator for the credit card issuer of how our payment gateway, Braintree, handles payments.
Can I make changes to my order? Please do your very best to be sure all of your order information is correct before placing the order. Because all items in this store are made to order, it can be very difficult to make changes. However, if you absolutely need to make a change, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Can I return or exchange my item? All sales are final unless product is defective. All items are produced and made to order at the end of each campaign. Please double check sizing before placing your order. What is your policy regarding bulk shipments? Once you have received your bulk shipment it is your responsibility to confirm that all individual orders have been accurately fulfilled.
